The U.S. Air Force’s Office of Small Business Programs “recognizes that U.S. military veterans have provided invaluable service to the nation in times of peace and war.” The department’s Small Business Innovation Research program invests more than $1 billion each year in small business technology and offers special services for women and veterans who are socially and economically disadvantaged.

Founder & CEO, Red 6Red 6 is an augmented reality (AR) technology firm that provides applications for military air combat training. The company produces AR headsets that pilots wear in the sky while flying real aircraft to simulate virtual dog fights, aircraft carrier landings, mid-air refuelings, and more.

CEO, SkySafeSkySafe is the developer of a security system designed to protect airspace from drone attacks or surveillance. Co-Founder & CEO, Pathfinder HealthPathfinder Health offers a digital platform that leverages machine learning to provide parents and providers with insights into early childhood development needs. Pathfinder’s app is used by parents for insights into their child’s motor development — based on CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines — which can be relayed to providers to assess and prescribe solutions.

The U.S. Marine’s Office of Small Business Programs is a “gateway for small businesses,” offering services for veteran-owned, service-disabled, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small businesses. The department aims to foster industry innovation, technology development, and the acquisition of quality products, services and solutions from small business providers.

CEO, BaconBacon Work is a virtual marketplace for gig workers and freelancers seeking flexible work shifts and for companies wanting to fill open shifts with temporary independent contract workers. Bacon’s platform allows employers to post part-time or temporary jobs, check the rating and background of individual applicants, and connect with applicants in real time to fill positions.
John B. Rogers, Jr.
CEO, HaddyHaddy is a micro-manufacturer of furniture produced through direct digital manufacturing using machine learning and 3D printing. The company uses 100% reusable materials, meaning that industrial recycling programs or Haddy itself can take entire pieces and recycle them into brand-new furniture.
Branigan Mulcahy
Co-Founder, VirdeeVirdee is a SaaS company providing virtual reception and customer engagement software that helps building owners manage and simplify access and authentication experiences for residents, visitors, and property staff. Virdee saves staff time and reduces friction by automating front-of-house workflows and connecting disparate platforms via its mobile application and in-lobby experiences.
The U.S. Navy’s Office of Small Business Programs is responsible for supporting a variety of small business concerns, including veteran-owned small businesses and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
