What did you learn from your mother?

We asked these founders what did you learn from your mother? Here’s what they said:

“I learned from my mother a sense of optimism and a sense of always looking forward and never looking backwards.”

Mike Collins, Founder and CEO at Alumni Ventures

“I learned that there is a role for compassion even in competition.”

Almir Brljak, Chief Operating Officer, Sinn Studio Inc.

“I’d say the number one thing I learned was work ethic.”

She is just a warrior. She’s the hardest worker I know, never complains and just goes and gets it done. I mean, working, taking care of us as a family, keeping everything together, cooking us meals. We never had to worry about anything as kids because my mom was taking care of all of it. So yeah, I love her so much. Kudos to her for everything that she taught us.

Kareem Aly, Co-Founder & CEO, Kabata
