About your presenters
Senior Principal, Sports Fund
Keaton has spent his career focused on high-level teamwork. A proud Wisconsin Basketball alumnus, he started his career playing professional basketball in Europe. He played for and led teams in competitions across Europe, including stops in Germany, Spain, Latvia and Italy. When he returned from overseas, his career focus shifted to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. He has worked with both institutional and corporate venture teams and completed and MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship. He holds a BS in kinesiology from UW-Madison and an MBA from the Nicholas Center for Corporate Finance and Investment Banking from the Wisconsin School of Business.
Greg has been a Managing Partner with Alumni Ventures since 2017. He is the Founder of Bascom Ventures and runs Towerview Ventures and has made more than 100 investments as a member of Alumni Ventures. These investments include: American Gene Technologies, SHINE Medical, Mission Bio, Axiom Space, Matchwell, and many others. Prior to joining AV, Greg was a highly accomplished executive with experience in corporate leadership, business development, startups, M&A, strategic planning, and more. He spent much of his career growing businesses in the electrical products, packaging, and chemical industries. Greg has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin (’86) and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University (’91).
Governor, Phoenix Rising Football Club
Bill is a veteran capital markets, M&A, private equity, and corporate lending professional. The bulk of Bill’s career was a 20-year stint at GE Capital as a lender, but also includes investment banking and private equity roles.
Along the way, Bill also served on many corporate and non-profit Boards, including Phoenix Rising FC where he is currently an investor and Board Governor. Among other responsibilities, Bill represents PRFC at USL Board of Governors meetings and in the Phoenix community with public officials, sponsor partners, charity events, etc.
Bill exited his role as partner in boutique investment banking firm Arlington Capital Advisors in 2023, and is now pursuing opportunities as an independent consultant, advisor or Board Director.
Bill has been a resident of Scottsdale, AZ since 2005 after relocating from CT with GE Capital. He graduated from Brown University in 1987 and the Duke University MBA program in 1991.
Co-Owner, Ranchers Global
Ted is the Co-founder and Co-owner of Ranchers Global, the parent company of the Texas Ranchers Major League Pickleball team. In the one year since purchasing the franchise, the Ranchers have become the most valuable, most followed, and highest-grossing team in pickleball. A former SEC Lawyer turned 3x Founder, Investor, and Advisor, Ted sits on the advisory board or board of directors of over 20 companies. Ted lives vicariously through himself, having travelled to over 50 countries, performed at a Ukrainian Music Festival, and established a CPR and First Aid training program in the Dominican Republic.
