Deep Dive on Exits with Green D Ventures

Watch an on-demand, 45-minute webinar to learn about Green D Ventures, Alumni Ventures’ Dartmouth-focused venture capital fund, and hear about the team’s strategy to build a fully diversified venture portfolio, and the status of earlier vintages.

See video policy below.

The presentation for the Green D Fund 11 highlights Alumni Ventures’ mission to democratize access to venture capital by offering individual investors diversified portfolios of early-stage companies. Led by Dartmouth alumni Laura Rippy, Pete Matthias, and other team members, the discussion emphasized venture capital’s strong long-term performance, focusing on the mechanics and timing of venture exits like IPOs, acquisitions, and partial exits. Notable successes, including Upstart’s 26.7x return and strategic partial exits with Sleeper and TRM Labs, demonstrated the fund’s ability to generate significant returns. The speakers also shared market trends, emphasizing measured optimism and the rise of high-caliber founders amidst current challenges. The presentation concluded with details about the mechanics of investing, the benefits of Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) tax advantages, and a call to act by October 31 to secure reduced fees, positioning the Green D Fund 11 as a strategic venture opportunity for 2024.

Venture is a long-term asset class, and while our portfolio companies won’t all be winners, we’re glad to see multiple early exits soon after our initial investments! This presentation is led by Green D Ventures’ Managing Partner Laura Rippy.
