About your presenter
Senior Principal, Alumni Ventures
Prior to joining AV, Yevgeny spent 15 years as a serial innovator at BlackRock. He was part of the original “skunkworks” team that conceived and seeded PennyMac Mortgage (exited successfully via IPO). He was also a founding member of the Financial Markets Advisory group (over $2 billion in cumulative revenue), which advised the Federal Reserve, U.S. Treasury, and over a dozen foreign governments. Yevgeny separately founded and led the Risk Advisory practice, coupling proprietary SaaS technology with investment consulting to grow the business from zero to over $1 trillion in assets under advisory. Internationally, Yevgeny drove the expansion of BlackRock in India — growing the employee base from 45 to 1,500 in two years — and the Middle East. He also participated in BlackRock’s first-ever Global Innovation Summit, where he incubated a new type of retirement product. Prior to BlackRock, Yevgeny conceived, prototyped, and patented a new design for the internal combustion engine. He is a CFA charterholder and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, in addition to several FINRA regulatory licenses (series 7, 24, and 63). Yevgeny received his BA in Economics and Biomedical Engineering from Yale University.
