Alumni Ventures (AV), one of the world’s most active venture capital firms, is a proud investor in Sinn Studio. A trailblazer in the spatial computing and immersive entertainment industry, Sinn is redefining how users experience virtual reality through innovative combat-centric applications on Meta, PlayStation, and ByteDance platforms. AV invested in the company’s $2.5 million seed round led by Hartmann Capital, with participation from Boost VC, Republic, Mana Ventures, MetaVision, and industry angels like Chris Ye of Uken Games.

Sinn Studio is at the forefront of the next computing shift, focusing on creating deeply immersive experiences where the human body acts as the primary input device. Founded by childhood friends CEO Alex Sinn and COO Almir Brljak in 2017, Sinn has made significant strides in the XR (extended reality) space, collaborating with major tech giants like Meta, ByteDance, and PlayStation.

“We believe that the future of spatial computing lies in creating experiences that are not only engaging but also intuitive and natural for the users,” explained Brljak, who recently discussed Sinn Studio on AV’s Tech Optimist podcast.

Sinn Studio is using its seed funding to further develop its first real-time Player vs Player (PvP) VR combat game, Swordsman. The title is driven by its proprietary “Combat Engine” and is supported by the innovative “Large Intent Model” (LIM), a neural network specially designed to discern and learn from the intricate subtleties of human motion during combat.

“Our focus on combat games allows us to push the boundaries of what’s possible in VR, making every movement and decision feel incredibly real,” added Brljak.

“We believe that the future of spatial computing lies in creating experiences that are not only engaging but also intuitive and natural for the users.”

Sinn Studio addresses a critical challenge in the XR industry: monetization and user retention. While many developers struggle to translate innovative experiences into profit, Sinn Studio has developed go-to-market strategies that ensure both high user engagement and sustainable revenue streams.

“We’re thrilled to support Alex and Almir as they pioneer new frontiers in spatial computing to enable truly groundbreaking gaming experiences,” said AV Founder and CEO Mike Collins, who hosted the conversation with Sinn and Brljak on AV’s Tech Optimist podcast. “Their ability to blend technical excellence with creative vision makes Sinn Studio a standout player in the XR industry.”

Sinn Studio is a virtual reality (VR) gaming studio utilizing proprietary game development software and AI tools to deliver innovative and immersive extended reality (XR) combat games. Its flagship title, Swordsman, is a best-selling VR game that has garnered significant acclaim and users.
